PASSAP FORM COMPUTER

El Passap Form Computer es un dispositivo que se acopla a las máquinas de tejer de la marca Passap o bien, en el caso de la E6000 lo tiene incluido. Es un dispositivo que te ayuda a tejer de forma interactiva los patrones de las prendas. En otras palabras, te guía en todo momento como tienes que tejer dicha pieza, por ejemplo; un delantero de un jersey. Te muestra en su pantalla: cuántos puntos tienes que montar, cuándo y cuántos puntos tienes que aumentar o menguar, etc. con unas instrucciones muy sencillas.

Tú no tienes que preocuparte de hacer ningún cálculo, el Form Computer lo hace por ti. Lo fantástico es que hay muchísimas prendas disponibles con su correspondiente tallaje, listas para usar. Podemos encontrar prendas tanto de mujer, hombre, niños y accesorios, bien en su propio manual o bien en decenas de revistas que publicaban periódicamente. También puedes introducir el diseño de tu prenda para que el Form te guíe, pero eso es otra historia que lleva tiempo comprender y no explicaré en este video.

A mí personalmente, me ha gustado mucho, no me esperaba que fuera tan fácil programarlo. Si estás harto de hacer cálculos o no sabes hacerlos o bien si no te puedes permitir comprar Designaknit… Este dispositivo es para tener muy en cuenta y adquirirlo. Desafortunadamente, no hay muchos Form en el mercado de segunda mano, que yo sepa no se puede comprar nuevo ya que creo que no se fabrica. Espero que en un futuro próximo, alguien tenga los conocimientos para introducirlo en AYAB/Knitty o en un Arduino o bien algo parecido. De este modo, podría llegar a todo el público.

Este dispositivo está creado, como he dicho anteriormente para Passap, con esto quiero decir, que es para galga 5. Como realmente, tienes que introducir tu muestra de tensión, yo entiendo que valdrá para cualquier tricotosa estándar, siempre y cuando encuentres el modo de acoplarla en tu máquina. Cuando lo pruebe, lo comentaré en este mismo post.

The Passap Form Computer is a device that is coupled to the Passap knitting machines or, in the case of the E6000, it is included. It is a device that helps you to knit in an interactive way the patterns of the garments. In other words, it guides you all the time how you have to knit that piece, for example; a front of a jumper. It shows you on its screen: how many stitches you have to cast on, when and how many stitches you have to increase or decrease, etc. with very simple instructions.

You don’t have to worry about doing any calculations, the Form Computer does it for you. The fantastic thing is that there are lots of garments available with their corresponding sizes, ready to wear. You can find women’s, men’s, children’s and accessories, either in their own manual or in dozens of magazines that they published periodically. You can also enter the design of your garment for the Form to guide you, but that’s another story that takes time to understand and I won’t explain in this video.

Personally, I really liked it, I didn’t expect it to be so easy to program. If you are tired of doing calculations or you don’t know how to do them or if you can’t afford to buy Designaknit…. This is a device to consider and buy. Unfortunately, there are not many Form Computers on the second hand market, as far as I know you can’t buy it new as I don’t think it is manufactured. I hope that in the near future, someone will have the knowledge to put it into an AYAB/Knitty or an Arduino or something similar. In this way, it could reach the public at large.

This device is created, as I said before, for Passap, with this I mean, it is for gauge 5. As you really have to introduce your tension sample, I understand that it will work for any standard knitting machine, as long as you find a way to fit it in your machine. When I try it, I will comment on this post.

	PASSAP FORM COMPUTER
1	Elige la prenda deseada. Choose the garment you want.
2	Teje tu muestra de tensión. Knit your tension swatch.
3	Escoge la tabla que coincida con tu talla y escoge la pieza a tejer. Choose the chart that matches your size and choose the piece to knit.
4	Encender el FORM COMPUTER. Switch on the FORM COMPUTER.
5	Introducir el primer número de la columna y pulsar “E” y así hasta terminar. Si te equivocas al teclear, pulsa la tecla “C”. Enter the first number of the column and press «E» and so on until the end. If you make a mistake while typing, press the «C» key.
6	Una vez terminado, la pantalla muestra el primer número introducido, y pulsando E, comprueba que todos los números introducidos sean los correctos. Once finished, the screen displays the first number entered, and by pressing E, it checks that all the numbers entered are correct.
7	Al finalizar la comprobación, FORM COMPUTER comienza a mostrarte las instrucciones de tejido. At the end of the check, FORM COMPUTER starts to show you the knitting instructions.
8	Sigue las instrucciones y comienza a tejer. Follow the instructions and start knitting.
9	Cuando termines de tejer, apaga el FORM COMPUTER y vuelve a comenzar con otra pieza de la prenda. When you finish knitting, turn off the FORM COMPUTER and start again with another piece of the garment.

CÓDIGOS CODES	DESCRIPCIÓN DESCRIPTION
1	Montar puntos. Cast on.
2	Transferir puntos de la cama trasera a la delantera. Transfer stitches from the rear bed to the front bed.
3	Escote dividido: Primero, teje el lado derecho. Split neckline: First, knit the right side.
4	Escote derecho tejido. Pulsa «GO» y tejer el lado izquierdo. Knit right neckline. Press GO and knit the left side.
5	Pieza terminada / Cerrar puntos. Finished knitted piece / Cast off.
	+ (número / number) Aumentar / Increase. – (número / number) Menguar / Decrease.
